History

Interfob (INTER-Européenne FOrêt Bois) is an annual meeting of European schools and Universities of Wood science and technology, where students and professionals across Europe meet to share their knowledge and contacts over the one week’s meeting course.

The Interfob was inaugurated in 1989 by Epinal’s students. Soon after schools in Switzerland and Spain joined followed by countries of Eastern Europe that have made their official entry to this movement.

Today, Interfob event gathers each year more than 300 students from the field of Wood science and technology, coming from more than twenty European schools. Each annual meeting is held during one week in a different European country and is entirely organized by the students of the hosting country.
